Update

I found about 3 books on Frank Gehry alone. One of them has very large reproductions of his sketches. Only problem is, I have to figure out which sketch goes with which building. They are very abstract and they aren't labeled.

I'm planning to print the sketches on white paper and possibly print photographs on overhead-projection sheets, so the viewer can combine the images themselves.

I'm also planning on possibly taking photographs and making abstract sketches of some buildings on campus, and combining these images in similar fashion.

My hope is that I am exploring the medium enough, not just doing some sort of report.

Revised proposal/new ideas

My original idea was to "explore" the transformation from 2-d to 3-d in architecture. I think specifically what I should do is find sketches of famous architects (such as Frank Gehry), and then superimpose these sketches on a picture of the building itself. Frank Gehry, in particular, has very abstract sketches, which he eventually turns into buildings. I think these two images together will have a very abstract effect.

In my proposal I say that I want to explore the transformation from 2-d plans to 3-d buildings in architecture. I've only created one model for my arch classes so far; I can certainly document that transformation. Other than that project, I would either have to start from scratch, or use buildings that already exist.
I think I need to be more specific about exactly what I want to do before moving on...
